Is it possible to have a shirt completely disappear from the dryer, if you put it through enough times? Think about it; there’s always lint in the trap. I’d love to have the time to try this one.
Longest Running Gag: The coyote constantly buying products from ACME when they always failed. This has to be the longest running joke ever. It was used throughout the Looney Tunes cartoons for years. A more recent Family Guy episode made reference to it. Now that’s timeless.
Why does Fred on the Scooby-Doo cartoons, take Daphne upstairs? Because he’s a straight up pimp. Watch and you’ll see. You just have to overlook the neckerchief.
I’ve updated the project page with the generalities on the PVC instrument I’ve created. So go check it out. If you have any questions on it, just let me know.
Here’s an easy way to not being hated by people working at a particular store of your choice. If a store happens to close at say 5p.m. and you get there at 4:55, don’t hang around in the store. Enter the store only if you know exactly what you need and exactly where it is. These people have a life outside of work too. The last thing they want to do wait for you to just “look around”, while you have no intention of buying anything. Also, do not under any circumstances use the line, “but I drove all the way here from [insert neighboring town here]”. No one cares where you drove from. By using the line all the way here, you’ve just stated that you’re a liar, and that the drive took all of 15 or 20 minutes. You should have left yourself more time to get there. So don’t get pissy, just get back in your car and drive home and come back another time. It’s ok, your life won’t be ruined. Follow this simple step to avoid being mother f-ed by the employees of said store.
Can you tell this has happened to me a few times.
Recycling has become a large part of every American’s life. Most of us have the big blue bins we put out at the curb every other week. We typically separate the paper goods from glass, metal, and plastic. And with plastics we only recycle #1 and #2 plastics. Many other household goods go unrecycled and end up in a landfill. What can you do?
Start by going to Earth911.com. Then click on recycling in the navigation menu. From here you can find recycling centers for everything from #3-7 plastics to hazardous waste materials. Help the planet and do your part so that future generations have a clean Earth to live on.
Hokay so, I’ve noticed a few common characteristics about many people living in this country. It seems like everybody wants a particular product to be the best, they want it yesterday, and they want it to be the cheapest - all at the same time. I’ve got news for you, that sure as hell isn’t going to happen. I’m sure you’ve heard that old saying, “You get what you pay for.” Well that’s entirely true and let me explain why. I work at a store that’s in a very niche market. Our primary business is selling wood stove, fireplaces, and other hearth items. However, we do sell grills and that’s what I’m going to use for this example.
What most people don’t see or hear about is how many grill manufacturers make a completely different grill for big box stores. A customer can walk into a Home Depot and look at a particular grill and see it priced say, at $399. Now, that same customer will walk into our store and say, “I just saw this grill at Home Depot for $200 less. What’s the difference?” Well my friends a lot. Many of the components are a cheaper grade material so the grill won’t last as long. Just take a look at the warranty and you’ll begin to realize the difference. God forbid, your product breaks, try getting someone to help you from a big box store. You’re better off just throwing out the product and buying a new one.
Now, this applies to many products that you buy. Everything from power drills to hair dryers. So if you’re one of the cheap ass people, who decides to save $30 and buy from a big box store, don’t complain when it breaks or doesn’t live up to your expectations, because you got exactly what you paid for. I encourage everyone, to find specialty dealers and pay a little more, to get the better quality. It’s far better in the long run.
